We are at a pivotal point in Scotland's climate journey.

Add your voice to help get progress back on track in 2025

Missed climate targets and a lack of action has left Scotland’s climate journey dangerously off track.

This must be urgently turned around, so that this year we see climate action that brings benefits to people in Scotland and around the world.

Together we can show political leaders that people across Scotland are united for climate action and that this will bring benefits to our health, jobs, and planet.

We are calling for the Scottish Government to:

MAKE CLEANER, GREENER TRAVEL EASIER FOR EVERYONE

  • Make our streets safer for walking, wheeling and cycling and enable people to get about quickly and easily on an affordable and reliable public transport network, while discouraging more polluting modes of transport, like private jets

MAKE OUR HOMES WARMER AND CHEAPER TO HEAT

  • Power our homes through cleaner forms of heating and ensure they are properly insulated, reducing energy bills and improving health

LOOK AFTER OUR LAND AND SEAS IN WAYS THAT WORK FOR PEOPLE AND NATURE

  • Support farmers, crofters and fisheries to manage our land and seas in ways that protect and restore nature and reduce emissions, such as by planting more native woodland and restoring peatlands

CREATE AND SUPPORT GOOD GREEN JOBS AND TRANSFORM OUR ECONOMY

  • Support manufacturing for green industries, particularly in places that will be most impacted by the transition to clean energy, and provide education and training to develop the skills needed for a new low carbon economy that prioritises our wellbeing and the protection of natural resources

DELIVER A FAST, FAIR PHASE OUT OF FOSSIL FUELS

  • Deploy fast, fair and managed plans to fully transition away from the production of polluting fossil fuels and reduce our our reliance on these

ACCELERATE INVESTMENT AND FAIR FUNDING FOR CLIMATE ACTION

  • Fairly fund faster climate action by targeting the biggest polluters and the better off, who on average, emit more
